S hadrach Solomon is an accomplished pianist, keyboardist, arranger, composer and music director. Hailing from a family of music lovers, it did not take long for Solomon to acquire the love for music. His formal education in Western Classical Piano started at age 6 by his father and later continued under the able guidance of Sister John, Good Shepherd's Convent. And went to learn advanced piano from Ravi Kashyap.
Some of his very early ventures include teaming up with music band Antaaragni (now called Raghu Dixit) and Layatharanga, Pratidhwani and Viskhepa. He is the founder member of the band DPSG. Thus today, this versatile, having acquired over 30 years of experience in the music industry has become one of the most sought-after musicians in India. He can dexterously play a wide variety of styles, ranging from Western Classical to Carnatic Classical. In all these 30 years in the music industry, Solomon has effortlessly picked up the art of Programming and Arrangement and has maintained a unique approach to it. His exceptional compositions and arrangements make him a terrific performer as well as an extraordinary music director.
Solomon has directed music for ample number of music albums- Souls of Trance, Altarnatives, Olavu and Laali, just to mention a few. His outstanding skills in arrangement can be observed in albums such as Thandava, Freak, Search and Shadow. The scintillating touch of his music in albums such as Ecstacy and Pranava have given the songs a wholesome effect of the Fusion music. Adding to the eclectic collection of his works are the Tibetan albums Donchen and Ameylabcha.
For over 25 years, Solomon has been composing music for several livestage performances and has been a part of Times Festival, Festival of Harmony, The Malabar Festival, Paryaya, Best of Me - Bryan Adams (Opening), National Conference on IT for Defense and so on. He has accompanied eminent artists such as Hariharan, Pankaj Udaas, Tuafiq Quereshi, Dr.Balamuralikrishna, Dr.L.Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamuthy, Ganesh- Kumaresh, Amit Heri, Unnikrishnan, Keith Peters, Udit Narayan, Chitra, Rajesh Vaidya, Dr. Prakash Sontakke, Dr.Jyotsna Srikanth, Vijay Prakash, Shivamani and so on.
He has also accompanied renowned dancers such as Nirupama-Rajendra, Shobana, Padmini Ravi, Raghunath Manet, Sanjay and Shama. He has started a new venture into playing Carnatic Classical style of music on the piano as part of a duo with renowned Violinist Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth. He has travelled many countries for performances like the US, UK, Scotland, France, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Malaysia, Kuwait, Dubai and Muscat.
Solomon also arranges and writes music in the Western Classical style for the whole orchestra. The London Philharmonic Orchestra played three of the songs arranged by Solomon during the recent visit of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in London at the Wembly Stadium. He has also arranged and performed with the String Orchestra in Lithuania and with a string quartet in Sweden.Solomon continues to build his credits by lending his talent to film songs and background scores such as Hubballi, Ankusha, Chili pili Hakkigalu, Janumada Gelati, PictureBanana Hai, Achaarya, Dildaara, Kempegowda, Rajdhaani, Ugram, Rajani Kantha, Nandeesha, Simpalaag Ond Love Story, Simpalaag innond Love Story, Plus, 1J2 Mentlu, Beautiful Manasugalu, Real Police Nagara Haavu. Aprilna Himabindu, Mufti to name a few.
He has produced music for the movie UDDISHYA as a debut Music Director. He has scored background scores for movies like Jagath Khiladi and Anthyavalla Aarambha.He has programmed movie songs such as, Gode Melu Ninna Hesara (Half Mentlu) Title song from Simpal aag ond Love story part 1 and 2 and the hit song - Baanali Badalaago from part 1.
The great diversity in his style of composition is evident in the radio and television commercials a few of which are Chandrika, Mysore Sandal, Deccan Herald, Janardhana Silk Sarees, Apna Sapna, Neutek, Lunar, Abhay Suraksha, Coramandal Cement, Norton, Pennywise US Pizza, Indira Canteen and BBMP Roshini.This consummate pianist, music director, composer hopes to achieve much more in the years to come!
