Prakash Antony found his passion for music at the early age of 8. Inspired by his father, Mr. Anthony S, who is also a percussionist, he not only started to accompany him but also play percussion for live stage shows. His dad was his sole inspiration and teacher. As the legacy of rhythm was passed down through blood, by the time he was 15, he had accustomed every molecule in his body to vibrate in a certain rhythm. With a tremendous amount of practice and unfailing dedication he emerged as a professional percussionist by the time he was 18. He has already played for more than 300 live shows and has been asked to be a session drummer for well-known country artists.

Having finished his Indian Classical Grades in mridangam from Vidhvan.Sri.N.G Ravi and also having procured grades f rom Trinity School of London under the guidance of Vidhvan.Sri.Babusukumar from Babu School of rhythms, he has worked for more than 1000 music CDs of various genres like rock, jazz, folk, classical, devotional, light music and also fusion. He has played percussions for more than 75 films and worked with renowned music directors like Rajesh Ramnath, Guru Kiran, Hari Krishna, Sadhu Kokila and many more.

Passion for music and dedication towards his trait has resulted in Prakash Antony performing with legendary singers like S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, S.Janaki, L.R Eswari, K.S Chithra, P. Sushila, Malgudi Suhba, Karthik, Kunal Ganjawala, Alka Yagnik, Rajesh Krishanan, Praveen. D. Rao and Anu Malik to name a few. Having won the Best Drummer Award at World Music Fest (Pune), he regularly performs for major TV stations like Suva rna, Zee TV, Kasthuri, TV9, Public TV, Big News and Colours Kannada. His musical excellence has taken him around the world and he has performed at the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Arab countries.
