Venugopal Venky was born in Bangalore, Karnataka. He was just seven years old when he was introduced to the world of music by his father, Mr.Venky, who was one of the most sought after singers, and that turned out to be his distinguished career. He stepped into the world of music by the expert guidance of his father and later joined The James Institute to complete his majors in Western Music.

At the age of 14, he started playing keyboard for acclaimed orchestra bands and there upon launched his own orchestra group, 'Saregama'. He has played melodic keyboard music for more than 1 ,000 albums which ranges to about 8,000 songs and for about a 100 films which counts upto 300 songs, in the last fifteen years. He has also composed appreciable music for jingles, background scores and short films. He has given almost 5,000 and more live astonishing performances. His performance forte spreads across popular television shows like Star Singer, Saregamapa, Yedhe thumbi Haduvenu and many more. He has worked as a music coordinator and director for popular Television channels like Suvarna, ETV, Zee kannada, Kannada Kogile- Clours Super, Kasthuri TV and so on.

His work with the industry's famous music directors is widely recognized. He has worked along with famous personalities like S.P. Balasubhramaniam, Tippu, KS Chithra, Malgudi Shuba, Vijay Prakash, Harikrishna, Rajesh Krishna, S.Janakhi, Kunal Ganjawala and many others. Venugopal has also buttoned up with the country's most celebrated music legends and received immense recognition such as Silva award for his contribution to the field of music. He has not only travelled all over India, but also has rendered performances in the US, UK, Qatar, Muscat and other countries for numerous prestigious events.

Mysore Dasara Uthsav, Vijay Prakash tour - 2018, Alvas Uthsava, Kumta Karavali Uthsava, Pravasi Bharathiya Divas - 2018, Stona Exhibition 2017 & 18, Conrad Hotel Inauguration. He conferred his performance in some of the most exotic shows of southern India like the Hampi Utsav and BGU, Bangalore.

Music is a feeling, it is has an emotion, it tells stories, it is a journal. To be an author of such music one must have an abundance of maturity, patience, exposure and expertise. Venugopal, along with a 28 years of experience, is such a proficient person who plays such luscious music with all his heart. This makes him one the most sought after keyboardist in town.
